Rules & workflows

Catch the situation, not the reading.

Above 46°F for ten minutes with the door open. Fuel falling while the truck is parked. A line drifting out of its limits for two minutes. OneIoT looks at each room, vehicle and machine as a whole — how long it has lasted, what the other sensors on it say, what already fired — so your team hears about a problem once, and hears when it's fixed.

Running today on cold rooms, construction sites and a cable line. It reads and alerts; it acts on equipment only where you switch that on.

Readings on this page are sample data.

Forty alerts for one problem

Each room or machine keeps its own state: how long it has been out, and what already fired. So the eightieth reading over the limit opens nothing new; a reminder repeats when you set it to, and when the reading recovers, that goes on the record.

Fuel falling while the truck is parked

One reading proves nothing; two read together do. The rule waits until the truck is parked with the ignition off, then fires if the fuel falls by five per cent or more. It is one of the ready-made rules — set your own figure and try it as a dry run, which shows what it would do and sends nothing.

A device gone quiet

Silence is a reading too. Every five minutes the engine checks which gateways, sensors and tags have stopped reporting, and tells the site lead before a quiet room or a missing tag turns into a surprise.

Hotter than usual — for this machine

A fixed limit misses a bearing that runs hot for its own sake. The rule keeps each machine's normal over the past week and fires when a reading moves far above it, while it is still under any limit you would have set.

Who is on site, and who walked into a restricted zone

Helmet tags tell the site's gateways who is where. The rules keep each person's zone and how long they have been in it, tell the safety lead the moment someone enters a restricted zone, and keep the day's hours on site for the attendance record.

A process out of limits, and the line still running

At Gloster Cables, with Elogictech Edge, a process held out of its limits for two minutes stops the line through its HMI, with the reason on the operator's screen. A rule acts on equipment only where you switch that on; everywhere else it reads, alerts and calls your systems — a ticket in your service desk, a job in your maintenance system, a post to Teams.

Do we need developers?

No. Ready-made rules need only your limits, and a simple rule is built by drag and drop. Rules that wait for minutes, read several sensors together or learn a machine's normal are set up by our team with you.

Will it touch my equipment?

It reads and alerts. It acts on equipment only where you switch that on — on one cable line today, a process issue stops the line through its HMI. Everywhere else, rules alert people and call your systems.

Can we start from a ready-made rule?

Yes — a cold-room temperature breach, fuel theft and overspeed; adjust the limits and go.

What if a rule keeps failing?

It switches itself off, so a broken rule doesn't keep running.

Where to start

Start with one site, and the devices it needs.

  1. Call

A thirty-minute callYour sites or fleet, what goes wrong today, and who answers.
  2. Outline

A written outline and a fixed priceWhat we connect, what you already have that stays, the first-site fee.
  3. 4 weeks

Four weeks on your first siteWe connect it, set it up and run it.
  4. Results

Your results, on recordWhat it recorded, what it caught, and how fast each one was answered.

Start with one site: 4 weeks at a fixed fee. Then a monthly price per site or per tracked device, on a 12-month term.
